Kick, snare, hat and rim. One bar, round and round.
The bass follows the chords: pick root, fifth or octave on each step.
Four bars, one chord each. They all belong to the key.
Two bars, played twice. Play it live on A to ;, and press record to put it on tape.
The tape
How it works
Four tracks on one cassette: drums, bass, keys, melody. Everything is synthesized as it plays, then run through a pretend tape machine: a little saturation, a worn top end, the wobble of a capstan that's seen things, and hiss. Turn the knobs on the tape tab to taste.
The chords and the melody grid are all in key, so there's no wrong note. Label your tape and copy the link; whoever opens it hears your loop on their own deck. Keys: P play/stop, R record, Home rewind.
